Eye Makeup for Summer in Refreshing Green and Blue

What is the first thing, that gets into our mind when it is Summer? Going to the beach! right?
I remember when my hubby and I went to Cebu to go snorkeling. I did not only enjoy the activity itself but the fantastic view of the ocean water.

Refreshing green and blue, is the best way to describe the fantastic view of the ocean. In line with that, I like to share this Eye makeup look, which can be worn on Special occasions or a night out. Especially during summer!

After putting on Foundation, make sure that you apply concealer under the eyes to cover under eye dark circles. Hiding under eye circles, is going to make you look fresh and youthful.
Apply concealer on your entire upper eyelids. The concealer serves as an eye primer too. Then dust your face with a loose powder.

apply a spring green colored powder eyeshadow on your eyelid extending to your eye crease.
On the outer corner of your eyes, apply blue green eyeshadow with a swiping motion from outside to the inside 3/4 of your eyes. Apply a platinum white eyeshadow just beneath the brows for high light.

To add Drama, line your upper eye lids and lower lids with a black gel eyeliner. Curl your lashes and add 2 coats of dark brown or black mascara.

To add appeal to the Eye Makeup, Swipe a coral shade of blush on just on the apples of your cheeks.
For your lips, opt for a nude pink colored lipstick or lip gloss.

1.Everbilena  foundation and concealer stick.
2. F21 face powder

For the eyes, face and lips
1. Qianyu eyeshadow and blush kit
2. San San gel eyeliner in black
3. Fashion 21 mascara in brown

Blush and Glow Christmas Party Makeup

Christmas is the best time of the year not only because of the joyful atmosphere and the food trip. It is a time for celebration together with the most significant people in your life. Most of all it is the time to remember the birth of the One and Only Savior, Jesus Christ.

In connection with that, we all gotta look our best, because that's when we get to dress ourselves with the coolest outfits! am i right? oh I believe so. Not only that, it is when we can experiment with our makeup looks without any too much restrictions, when it comes to sheer,shimmer and glittery makeup, except for those who are already in their 60's of course. No offense to those who are already in that age.

Here are some simple tips to make your make up stand out. I call it Blush and Glow :

1. Start of with a clean face. Make sure you've done your CTM (cleansing ,toning, moisturizing).
After doing your CTM, apply and blend your foundation on your face and neck. Do not leave any skin untouched. Conceal under eye circles, blemishes and red splotches. Remember to achieve a fabulous makeup look, your skin should be flawless.

2. After finishing up with your eye makeup, Apply a nude pink blush on to the apples of your cheeks, then blend it upwards to your temple. To make it more appealing have the glow effect, by swiping a golden brown shimmer powder on your cheekbones blending it up again towards your temple. Do remember to blend well, to achieve the Blush and Glow effect.

3. Another way to pull of this kind of make up look is, With your blush brush, pat it on a light pink blush, then pat it on a shimmery earth brown colored blush or eyeshadow.Tap off the excess, then swipe it on gently on the apples of your cheek blending it upwards towards the temple.

Important reminder: Set your make up with loose powder.

Go easy on the shimmer powder to avoid looking like a Disco ball or a light
reflector.
In sporting this avoid strong makeup colors.

Sparkling Eyes for Christmas Celebrations

Sorry for being gone for a long time. I've been pre - occupied with some important stuff.

Anyway, let's get down to business. The Christmas season is just around the corner. We all know it is the time when everything is sparkling! Lanterns,Christmas lights to Christmas balls hanging on our Christmas Tree. Everybody is in a festive spirit! therefore we ought to look like it as well.

Lemme tell you ladies out there who love to have some fun, your mood should be seen on your make up look as well. Since this is the most joyful season of the year, Opt for Sparkling eyes!

To be able to pull of a sparkling eyes makeup look, One thing you should remember is to be cautious in piling up colors or else you are going to look like a disco ball. Choose just one to two colors and enhance it with an eyeliner, Whether eye pencil or a cake liner. You may also use the darkest eyeshadow shade of your es palette to complete the look.

Here are two makeup looks  which you could do, if in case you have an event to attend to, a date or a ladies night out:

1. Golden Glow - To achieve a fantastic makeup look, make sure that your face appear flawless. Apply and blend foundation all over your face and neck. Do not leave any demarcation line. Choose foundation that is nearest to your natural skin tone.
- Apply concealer to hide blemishes and most of all dark circles under the eyes.
- Follow it up with press powder.
- For the fun part to achieve sparkling eyes, apply a golden yellow or a golden brown eyeshadow from the eyelids up to the brow bone.
- Apply Vanilla or Pearl colored eyeshadow just beneath your eyebrows for
highlight.
- Apply black eyeliner, you might also like dark brown or Indigo blue. On the
roots of your upper lash line then to your lower lash line.
- To make your eyes more dramatic, line the inner rim of your eyes as well with
black, dark brown or Indigo eyeliner.
- Last but definitely not the least. Curl your eye lashes and apply two coats of
mascara.

2. Silver Lining - To achieve a fantastic sparkling eyes  makeup look, make sure that your face appear flawless. Apply and blend foundation to all over your face and neck. Do not leave any demarcation line. Choose foundation that is nearest to your natural skin tone.

Apply concealer to hide blemishes and most of all dark circles under the eyes.
Follow it up with press powder.

- For the fun part, apply a Silver gray, Platinum or a Lilac blue eyeshadow,
from your eyelids up to your brow bone, with a swiping motion.
- Apply a black eyeliner on your upper lash line and lower lash line to frame
your eyes and to make it look more expressive.
- Add drama by lining your inner rims as well with your black eyeliner.
- Do not forget to curl your lashes. Then add two coats of mascara.
- You can use Indigo blue or dark purple eyeliner instead of black.
 
Important Note: Since you are going for the Sparkling eyes look, Choose a cheek and lip color that are complimentary to your eye makeup look. Opt for a natural cheek color like, coral or peach. For the lip color choose a lip tone color. Top it of with a clear gloss.

Eye shadow shelf life

When we buy an eyeshadow, the first thing we do is check it's expiration date.
We red many articles on eyeshadow shelf life. It always states that, we can only consume it for 18 months after opening it and using it. I do not discount what I red in the articles, but based in my own experience, eyeshadow shelf life can last longer than 18 months.

Here are some tips which can prolong eyeshadow shelf life:

1. After using your eyeshadow, close it properly. Do not leave it open for too long, to avoid bacteria build up.
2. Always use clean applicators. When we use unclean applicators, there is bacteria build up. This is going to shorten eyeshadow shelf life.
3. Store it in a proper place and keep it covered at all times. (some users just leave it open on their dresser after using it.)
4. Avoid lending your eyeshadow to somebody else.
5. When there is an oil build up on the eyeshadow, get a Q tip and scrape the top then your good to go.

Wow ! it's nice to be back after being away for 8 months. The last post I've made was about Makeup spending. I wrote some practical tips on how you can get your money's worth on purchasing makeup.

Makeup Shopping; A Practical Reminder

I know most of us when we go to the mall, we cannot wait to go to the makeup counter and try on new products and do our makeup spending. Going to a makeup up counter for a makeup junkie like me, is like bringing a kid into a fancy candy store, or bringing a kid to Toys R Us. We can fully enjoy our makeup spending without really using up all of our cash. You might think that is a contradicting statement, we're gonna go makeup spending and yet we will not use up all our money? Believe me yes we can.

Here are the factors to consider when you go for a makeup spending:

1.Plan your budget.
2.Shop on products that is within your budget. In that way you get to buy as many products as you can.
3.consider your lifestyle when you shop for makeup. That is how you get to plan how much you're gonna spend.
Ex.If you are a regular student, it is not advisable for you to spend a $50 - $100 worth of makeup. If you are working in a top corporate company that is when you can buy makeup with such a price or if you have an active social life and if your work involves T.V. appearances, photo shoots etc.
4.Shop for products that suits your skin tone and skin type.
5.Shop for products that you will use for a long time. Example. Instead of buying mono eyeshadow pots and mono blush on pots, opt for a complete makeup kit set,that contains eyeshadow and blush on in one kit.You are going to benefit more because you can practice color application.
6.Most of all if you are just starting to wear  makeup bring a friend who has been wearing makeup for quite a long time to assist with your makeup shopping.

Makeup shopping is a delightful way for a friendly or sisterly bonding. Make it fulfilling without breaking you wallet and affecting your primary expenditures.
